Fees and timing

Direct to U.S. Bank transfers are free for talent with a U.S. tax address.

Starting September 1, 2026 each transfer for talent with a non U.S. tax address costs $2.99. If you have a withdrawal scheduled before September 1, 2026, it will continue to be processed free. The fee will apply to any new withdrawal initiated, or any previously scheduled withdrawal that is rescheduled, on or after September 1, 2026. This fee helps cover the cost for maintaining Direct to U.S. bank as a payout option, so we can continue offering it to international freelancers.

Processing times depend on your bank, but transfers usually take a few business days after you initiate a withdrawal.

Manage your bank account

For security reasons, you can't edit bank account numbers or bank codes. If any of these details change, add a new bank account and remove the old one.

Common issues

Name mismatch

If your withdrawal fails, check that your bank account name matches your verified name exactly.

Incorrect bank details

If your account information is incorrect, the transfer may fail or be returned. Review your details and try again.
